Rotterdam’s Urban Cactus, the biomorphic tower housing project gets it’s name from resembling a tall cactus presented by a Dutch architecture firm called UCX Architects use staggered terraces to make huge, sunny spaces, and a building profile that seems to have been parachuted in from 1945’s future.
the future housing project will accommodate 98 residential units within its 19 floors, using the pattern of outdoor spaces to determine the overall appearance of the project, built on the waterfront in Rotterdam.
The slightly irregular pattern alternates these outdoor spaces to create what are in effect double-height spaces. Each unit then receives more sunlight than a typical stacked composition.
It’s hard to tell whether the design has fully embraced the potential ecological benefits of succulent gardens running down all sides of the building — such as rainwater collection and on-site irrigation sources — but if the architects haven’t taken that leap, at least it’s a natural one for individual occupants to gravitate towards.

so what you saying,
Hazim
