a simple, useful, easy to use application for Mac, that puts you back in control over your iTunes.
ByteController is a small application that sits quietly in your menu bar enabling you to control your iTunes easily, while working, surfing the net, designing, etc. without having to load up iTunes every time. (now that can get annoying)
It’s a breeze to set up, just as any other Mac OS X application. Simply move or copy ByteController.app to your “Applications” directory, double click it, and voila it’s up and running. ByteController gives you three buttons in your menu bar: Previous Song, Next Song and Play/Pause. Holding the Previous Song and Next Song buttons plays fast forward or rewinds.

If you spend another two minutes playing around with the settings you can change the skin, have it loading up automatically during startup, as well as assigning hot keys for all button actions plus hot keys for controlling volume.
ByteController is a very handy and free application that does a simple but useful task, very easy on your machine, doesn’t clog up your resources so you can still unleash your creativity where you supposed to (hint: your work). It comes with a simple easy to read no nonsense “Read Me” file, in which you will find all the information you need, plus info on how to make your own ByteController skin for all you control freaks.
If you do enjoy using ByteController please consider donating whatever you could.
