Milk Desk, I don’t have a clue from where the name came, but I’m down with it, in-fact, I’m in love with it. It’s that kind of product that gets Mac heads drooling, and PC followers raising their eye brows wondering why the hell can’t anybody out there come up with sleek products for ‘em as well. Not to worry though sine it could be used for PCs as well, but it is designed for Mac products specifically.

designer Soren Kjaer
Milk Desk, is one of those rare products that do blend fashionable sleek design with efficiency, it is intended to address the concerns of a number of computer users, but is specifically aimed at the minimalist aesthetic of the Mac world. The 55 by 25 inches surface, has many features such as a drawer and exits to minimalize cable clutter, as well as a file slot on the front to store items such as papers and small electronics. The left-hand side holds four modular square spaces that open up to store anything from garbage bins, pen/pencil holders, an iPod drawer with in-desk cable routing, and even an aquarium. It also features a very neat electronic base to raise or lower the desk depending on whether you choose to sit or stand.
All-in-all, one of the most badass desks we’ve ever seen.

Details of the MILK computer desk for Macintosh computer systems:
• The MILK desk is made of medium density fiberboard, which is at least six times stronger than regular particleboard.
• A high gloss white lacquer will look familiar to Mac users; it’s the same shiny white color found on iMacs and other non- technicolor Apple Macs.
• The base is easily adjustable for height.
• To electronically raise or lower the height of the MLK desk, simply press the button underneath it.
• The tabletop measures 55 1/8″ by 25 2/8″, with slightly rounded corners.
• The only visible wiring is the power wire, off the base of the table.
• Wires, power cords, firewires and any other cables are stored in a cable drawer. This drawer is flush with the backside of the computer desk.
• Four built-in boxes on the left side of the table minimize desktop clutter, and come with seven different box color choices. The boxes are flush with the computer table when not in use.
• The best example of the whimsy involved in this computer desk design is in the suggestion of making one of the boxes a fish tank - complete with photo of a goldfish swimming around in the tabletop box (using the transparent box option).

The Milk Desk was designed by Soren Kjaer and Holmris Hansen. More info on availability and pricing coming your way as soon as it becomes available.
