Energy Saving Adaptor

The french are at it again, Gilles Belley and EDF design produced one hell of a sleek way of saving energy. There couldn’t have been a better time to discuss this issue since we just have had the Live Earth concert that was dealing with the climate crisis, and how each one of us can contribute with the least amount of effort to make that big change. Based on what EDF is saying that “The standby mode of the electrical appliances can represent up to 10% of the electric consumption of a housing (except heating)”, now if that is true, then just take the time to think about what a waste of resource and money that is.
The solution is simple, but for those of us who have a hard time changing habits (and cool products junkies) the solution came in a very sleek package. The energy saving adaptor visually notifies you of energy wastage and automatically turns of your connected equipment, unless you don’t want to.
The adaptor is made up of multiple modules that connect together to provide power to as many equipment as you wish, while monitoring it’s power supply individually.

For a full description on how this lovely device works and pictures hope over to Gilles’s website
